Day 1:
Fly To Europe
Depart for an overnight flight to Paris, France.
Day 2:
Arrive Paris
Arrive in Paris and transfer to your centrally located hotel. You will have time to explore the quaint neighborhood with our Tour Director before enjoying a welcome drink hosted by Tracy and Holly.

Day 3:
Napoleon - Montmartre
This morning, we are joined by a local guide as we explore numerous French Revolution sites in Paris. Sites include the Palais-Royal, Hotel des Invalides to see Napoleon's Tomb and the military museum. Later, we discover one of Paris' most beautiful and exciting areas, the Montmartre. Walk the streets that some of Paris' most notable characters once lived, including Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir to name a few. An evening in the Montmartre is not to be missed. Tonight, Tracy and Holly host a Welcome Dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Day 4:
French Revolution Tour
We continue exploring Paris and the ma- jor sites that played a significant role in the French Revolution. Our local expert guide introduces us to the Bastille area, Notre Dame Cathedral and Place de la Concorde. We will also visit the Catacombes of Paris which date back to the 1700s. Over the years, more and more remains were brought here from over- crowded cemeteries to make room for the city's development, up until 1860.

Day 5:
Paris At I Fishire
Enjoy a full leisure day to explore Paris on your own. Visits may include; Louvre Mu- seum to see the Mona Lisa or the Musee de Orsay where you'll be immersed in the world of Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, and other mas- ters of the 19th and 20th centuries. You may also choose a full day trip to Normandy or go wine tasting in Champagne.

Day 6:
French Revolution Tour
This morning we depart for the Palace of Versailles, former home of King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette. Our tour of Versailles will include numerous rooms as well as the famous Hall of Mirrors. The local guide will explain how the palace played a large part of the French Revolution. Later, we return to Paris with your evening free.

Day 7:
Paris
Enjoy a full day to discover your Paris. There are numerous optional experiences to relish including a visit to the Eiffel Tower or take in one Paris' exciting markets or gardens. Your Tour Director will also have additional ideas including a bike tour through the Paris streets or take in a French cooking class. Lat- er, we gather for an illuminated Seine River Cruise followed by a fabulous farewell dinner.

Au Revoir Paris
Fly home from Paris or extend your stay in Europe.

Holly Frey is cohost of Stuff You Missed in History Class, and she's also an executive producer for the HowStuffWorks podcast network. Her true historical passion is fashion from all eras. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and a small herd of cats. When she's not obsessing over comma place- ment or talking about the past, she's sewing, running, watching television, visiting a Disney park. rescuing animals, going to the movies, traipsing around town in a ridiculous costume or obsessing over delicious food. Sometimes, she does several of these things at once.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel in Paris?
There are a number of different ways - the easiest is to take a taxi or Uber otherwise there are trains that depart often as well as a number of buses that run between the airport and the city center. Once you arrive in the city center you will have to transfer via the underground metro or another bus, taxi. Transfers are not included in the tour price outside of the Norwegian Airlines flight. Norwegian Airlines flight #7022 arrives CDG Terminal 1 at 12:20PM. The motor coach will depart from Terminal 1 at 2PM. Motorcoaches are parked just outside of baggage claim and there will be a sign on the coach window "Defined Destinations Paris". Guests that are signed up on the tour and arrive before the coach departs are more than welcome to use this transfer at no additional cost.
